We're Live-Blogging For The Real Heads Still Shopping Amazon Prime Day
WIRED
Yes, it is still Prime Day. Believe it or not, Amazon's annual summer sale, which began on Tuesday morning, is not even close to over. Tomorrow, the final day, will see a flurry of interest, as people make FOMO purchases or empty their cart after getting a Friday paycheck. Today is for the real heads.
Day three of Amazon Prime Day is a day for people who love ball too much to step away from the game until they can't continue. This is the day Julio Franco or Tom Brady would shop for a discounted air fryer if they were shopping for discounted air fryers. It's for them that we live blog the day. If Bron still doin' it, so will we.
We'll update our overview of the absolute best Amazon Prime Day deals three times today, adding and culling deals to keep our list around 100, and you should go there if you're shopping for something specific. Here, on the other hand, you can expect us to continue to discuss Julio Franco, update you on our purchases of pretty pink rice cookers, and try to convince you to not to buy a Ring doorbell camera despite how cheap they are right now.

This Security Camera Deal is Unbeatable Value for Money
The battery-powered, wire-free TP-Link Tapo MagCam was the runner-up in my best outdoor security cameras guide. It offers everything you are likely to want in a security camera, and it’s a bargain at the regular price, so this discount is worth grabbing. It can record video at up to 2K and 30 frames per second, has a 150-degree field of view, and connects directly to your Wi-Fi. The magnetic mount makes it easy to angle; it offers two-way audio, and the notifications are swift and reliable. You can record locally on a microSD card or opt for a Tapo Care subscription ($3.50/month or $35/year for one camera) for cloud storage (30-day video history), rich notifications with snapshots in them, and video filtering.
This Lego Set Is Fun to Set Up and Doubles as Home Decor
As I get older, I’m realizing that putting together Legos is one of the few activities that remains as fun as an adult as it did when I was a kid. I love putting together Star Wars sets with my nine year old nephew as much as I love putting together these gorgeous floral sets with my 33-year-old boyfriend. I love all of the floral sets, but this Dried Flower Centerpiece Set is one of the cheaper options and is pretty enough to display once it’s completed. Plus, it’s as fun to do alone as it is with someone else.

The Best Fitness Tracker for the Outdoors Is 25 Percent Off
Garmin is offering a bunch of deals across its lineup, but the Fenix 8 AMOLED is our favorite fitness tracker for outdoor activities. You get the bright AMOLED display screen of the Epix, but with a longer battery life that lasts up to 10 days. You get support for nearly every sport—including pickleball—as well as Garmin's proprietary off-grid maps. There are leak-proof buttons for scuba and other extras like a built-in LED flashlight, a speaker, and microphone for voice commands.
This Prime Day sale shaves $250 off the price, so if you're considering this Garmin, this is the best time to send it.
This Is My Favorite Item I Own (and It’s on Sale)
I help test a lot of vacuums here on the WIRED Reviews team and this one is my go-to. If you don’t have a cordless vacuum, you need to upgrade—it’s a game changer. This cordless stick vacuum is super-lightweight and easy to maneuver around the whole house while cleaning. This on-sale V15 Detect Plus from Dyson has different attachments like an additional dusting brush instead of a combination tool, but still has the detachable heads for different surfaces.
The standout of these Dyson vacs is the green laser that illuminates microscopic hairs and dust that’re usually naked to the human eye. A sensor inside the vacuum automatically adjusts power depending on particle type, and counts the number of particles the V15 is sucking up, with the particle sizes displayed on the LCD screen, so you can know exactly how much yucky stuff it’s picking up for you.
Create Your Own Cloud for Backups, Streaming, and More
You could ditch the big tech cloud and the subscriptions and create your own network-attached storage server for backups, sharing files, and even streaming content. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to set up a NAS server. My four-bay UGreen NASync DH4300 Plus has been up and running for a few months now, and the whole family tunes into my digitized film and TV show collection using Jellyfin. We also back up precious photos, work files, household documents, and shared projects. UGreen is offering Prime Day discounts on its entire NAS range, from two-bay entry-level devices up to pro-style multi-bay NAS servers. Just remember that you need drives to go in them, and prices for hard drives and SSDs have gone a little crazy due to the AI boom.
Why Even Go Outside If You Can't Make Your Friends Jealous?

GoPro
Max 2 360 Camera
As we all know from TikTok and Insta, the only reason to even leave your house is to make other people wish they were you. If you're an outdoor sort, an off-road ebike daredevil, a hiker up near-vertical trails, this will happen best via action cam.
The best deal on any action cam right now is the GoPro Max 2 (7/10 WIRED Recommends), WIRED reviewer Scott Gilbertson's favorite 360 camera there is. Dual 14-mm (35-mm equivalent) lenses yield what GoPro calls “True 8K” (10-bit) video. Footage is sharp. 10-bit color recording in log means you get a lot of flexibility during post-production color grading (or you can just go with default natural color, which is also the best on any cam Gilbertson has tested.)
Audio's not great unless you pair a mic on Bluetooth, and night vision is meh. But no one's jealous of how you sound at night. They're jealous of you off-roading by the lake, in bright sun, in the summer. Looks vivid, bro.

A Heart Monitor for Runners, Cyclists, and Endurance Athletes
Most fitness trackers are wrist-based wearables or smart rings, but there are times when both of those types of devices are not ideal. You can't (or shouldn't) wear a smart ring when you're weight lifting or engaging in contact sports, and sometimes smartwatches are a little too distracting.
This is our favorite heart monitor. It's a chest strap and one of the most comfortable and dependable monitors we've tested. It's designed with a buckle connector that feels secure; small silicone dots also help keep the strap in place, which means better readings and more consistent data. The H10 has built-in memory, so you can store workout data without staying connected to your phone. Plus, its ANT+ connectivity lets you pair it with compatible fitness equipment. The replaceable battery is also decent, lasting up to a year.
An Actual Good Laptop Priced for Trying Times
You know what's the worst? One of the most common reasons people have to buy a new laptop is that they need it to make money—and dropping a G on a good machine might not be in the startup budget. But as you probably also know, the world of cheap laptops is paved with bad intentions.
This OmniBook 3 is a welcome exception. This is an actual good laptop for less than $600, notes WIRED laptop expert Luke Larsen, more than 40 percent off list price. The HP OmniBook 3 has 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage, wild specs for a laptop barely over $500. The sacrifice is the display isn't quite as sharp as a MacBook Neo, say, and the touchpad is meh. But let's say you're here to work. This gets it done.

Grab Yourself the Greatest Google Phone
Headlining the excellent Google Pixel 10 series, the Google Pixel 10 Pro XL has everything. This is Android as Google envisions it, a triumphant marriage of slick, elegant software with powerful, performant hardware. Point and shoot, and this camera will more often than not give a photo you want to share; there’s even a Camera Coach to help you become a better photographer. I love the design of my mint green Pro XL with silver framing and that distinct camera lozenge. This hardware runs anything. It’s fast and always keeps its cool, with a slick dose of actually-useful AI features, like real-time translations over phone calls, conversational photo editing, and call screening. In an age of great smartphones, this is the one I return to as my daily driver.
The Best Outdoor Security Cam is Only $100 Today
Raccoon problem? Porch pirates? Open backyard? Whatever the worry, this is the best outdoor security cam WIRED has tested. The live feed loads fast, the notification system is actually smart, the field of view is 160 degrees, and the picture is crystal clear—not just some fuzzy mass under a hoodie. There's a night mode, but also a spotlight that'll actually shine a light for both clarity and deterrence. The battery lasts somewhere between four and eight months (it advertises eight, but it depends on how busy the field of view is).
Anyway, it's on a good deal right now—not the best we've ever seen, but the best in about four months. There's a catch, which is that you'll need a $10 a month subscription service to unlock the best features, including 60 days of cloud video history. HomeKit support will need an Arlo Base Station and an Apple Home Hub.
These Shower Steamers Helped Treat My Summer Cold
These shower steamers transform my bathroom into a spa. I especially love the Eucalyptus Mint ones when I'm down bad with a flu or cold. They instantly help clear my nasal and sinus congestion. Each tablet is separately packaged, so I'll often grab a couple with me when I'm traveling to make any hotel bathroom feel a little bit like home. You really can't go wrong with any of the scents: Rose Petal, Lavender, and Fresh Tea Tree, to name a few. And they're all on sale.
This Pillow Spray Helps Me Sleep When The Sun Is Still Out
Once again I am signing off until the wee hours of tomorrow morning. If insomnia plagues you, this pillow spray might actually help. I first discovered it while working third shift and have kept a bottle around ever since. With chamomile, lavender, and vetivert—all ingredients proven to help us relax—this spray makes me sleepy almost immediately. I recommend it to my family members and friends on a regular basis and this sale price is solid too. I leave you in Boutayna and Matthew's capable blogging and deal-sleuthing hands!
This Cooler Has A Built-In Bluetooth Speaker and a Rad Aesthetic

Igloo
KoolTunes Bluetooth Boombox Cooler
Firmly establish yourself as the coolest person on the beach or at the tailgate with this Igloo KoolTunes cooler, which has a middling Bluetooth speaker built right in. At 5 watts, it's not an impressive speaker. And as a tiny swivel-style cooler, it's not impressive at retaining ice. But it manages to do just a good enough job at both that I still recommend it. It'll keep your lunch chill, it'll play your music at decent quality for you and a close-by companion, and it'll look rad while it does it. As long as you don't expect it to keep things frozen for days on end or to rattle the entire neighborhood with unspeakable levels of bass, you'll be just fine. Expect many a random stranger to ask you where to buy it.
This Viral Shampoo Is a Bestseller for a Reason
This is one of our favorite shampoos, designed for medium to coarse hair. It’s formulated from a blend of coconut oil-derived surfactants, making it gentle on both the scalp and hair without stripping away essential moisture. It repairs everyday damage and helps prevent future breakage. It also replenishes hydration, boosts shine, and strengthens hair bonds. It’s vegan and safe for chemically treated hair. It’s free from parabens, phthalates, and sulfates, so it’s also suitable for sensitive scalps. $34 feels like a lot for a small-ish bottle, but I can justify $24.
I bought this in a gift set yesterday hoping to achieve hair like Boutayna's and I'm not even joking. An aspiration we all should aim for!
Stock Up on These Pimple Patches
Hero Cosmetics’ Mighty Patch is one of the best pimple patches for whiteheads. They’re hydrocolloid stickers, so in addition to absorbing excess fluid, they’re great at unclogging pores and expediting wound healing. These patches in particular are also thin enough to wear under makeup, and consequently, they also keep you from picking at your zits and help prevent scarring.
Save 50% on My Personal Favorite Charger
This is not WIRED's official best 3-in-1 charging stand. My esteemed colleague Simon Hill likes the Belkin the best. I have not used that Belkin, but I have used a lot of others, and Noco's XGrid slays them. It's big and sturdy with a distinctive design that merits comment whenever I have a guest. Since I have an Android for work, it's perfect for me as I can put that on the lower charging pad while my iPhone sticks up top.
It is a pricey piece of gear but it's half-off for Prime Day.
Light Up Your Life, or at Least Your Living Room, With This Neon Light Strip
A light strip is a good way to get versatile lighting in spots where you wouldn’t normally have any, and it can really change the feel of a room. The Govee Neon Rope Light Strip 2 is one of my favorite Govee smart lights. This diffused light strip can be shaped and works as both art and light on just about any wall. Since it is diffused, there’s no need to tuck it behind a TV or furniture. You get adhesive-backed metal brackets, screws, and bendable clips, and it’s flexible enough to shape into just about whatever you want (as long as it's curved). The Neon Rope Light 2 works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa, and you can connect it with Apple HomeKit and Samsung SmartThings via Matter.
This Vacuum Saved My Roommate During Allergy Season

PowerClean FurFinder
As someone who lives in a small apartment with two very furry cats and a roommate with both cat and seasonal allergies, my life is a daily battle combating against fur, dander, and pollen. I love this vacuum cleaner, especially for pet hair. The big headlight on the front makes it easy to spot fur and cat litter, and the three power levels perform well on hardwood, carpet, rugs, and tile. Plus, I liked the design of the device itself—the dust cup easily twists off for emptying, plus the canister sits on the outside of the bar, which makes it less likely to annoyingly lean or fall.
My Cat’s Throw Up Hates to See This Machine Coming
My house is almost completely hardwood flooring, which is awesome. I have furniture, obviously, and rugs in my dining, living, and bedrooms. No matter where my cat is in the home, whenever he eats too much too fast or has a hairball, he’ll sprint to my high-pile shag living room rug, or place himself on the top of my couch’s back to throw up from a high distance to the cushions below. Who am I to deny my little prince’s preferences? That’s where I pull out the Little Green Machine from my closet and get to cleaning. It works well on many types of carpet and upholstery, and its compact size makes it easy to store and tote around your house.
