Brennan Wedl has arrived at Anti- for a new album out August 21. Co-produced by Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield and indie wizard Brad Cook, the self-titled record pairs Wedl with backing musicians including Snail Mail’s Lindsey Jordan, Colin Croom, and Matt McCaughan. Brennan Wedl is the Nashville-based musician’s formal solo debut. It follows her sole LP with Dazey and the Scouts, 2017’s Maggot, and a 2019 mini album, Holy Water Branch; Wedl also released the EP Sleeping With Jeans On in 2021. Snail Mail and Soccer Mommy are preparing to take her on the road for the first half of their co-headlining tour this fall, before Wedl plays headline dates in New York, Los Angeles, Boston, and Philadelphia in October.
